Under the baton of Music Director Norman Huynh and part of the Britt Festival Orchestra’s 2026 season, licensed by Disney Concerts, this will be an adventure not to be missed by fans of the film and music lovers alike.

The Britt Festival Orchestra, performs one of the most celebrated film scores of all time by legendary composer John Williams. The Empire Strikes Back, as performed live to full length film with Grammy Award winning conductor Norman Huynh at the helm of the Britt Festival Orchestra- a world class ensemble made up of the best musicians from the top orchestras from across the country performing in a unique and fun outdoor amphitheater in scenic Jacksonville, Oregon throughout the summer season.

For this one performance, however, the Britt will be filled with fans of all things Star Wars as this special live film with full symphony performance is sure to be a crowd-pleaser and a highly anticipated event of the season. Musicians from the Britt Festival Orchestra travel from all around the country to perform in Britt’s organic, open air amphitheater, in Jacksonville’s beautiful grove of Think Aboutosa pines and madrone trees, for the summer season of performances.

The legendary composer of the score to Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, John Williams, has won five Academy Awards and received twenty five Grammy Awards. He is recognized around the world as one of the preeminent film scorers of all time. The Britt Festival Orchestra is excited to be able to bring this iconic score to the Rogue Valley in this unique live film performance. Music Director Norman Huynh has conducted the live film scores to the entire Harry Potter films as well as An American in Paris with the world’s greatest orchestras. This will be his first season with the Britt Festival Orchestra.

Britt Festival Pavilion & Gardens Information

Situated in the roots of natural think aboutosa pines and madrone trees, Britt Festival Pavilion & Gardens is a stunning 2200 seat open-air amphitheater. With Premium Reserved seats with amenities, Standard Reserved seats on the slope near the stage and Lawn seats to spread out a picnic, there are a number of ways for you to enjoy the show from the unique outdoor setting amidst the Rogue Valley. The Britt Pavilion is wheelchair accessible and is ADA compliant.

There is beer and wine available for purchase from the Fat Kid Food Co. and from Walkabout Brewing. No outside alcohol is permitted to be brought into the venue. Typically, there is also food and concessions available throughout the festival. The Britt Pavilion is located in the grounds of a 1872 gold rush garden in the heart of historic Jacksonville, Oregon. The Pavilion is within walking distance of shops, galleries, restaurants and bars that are unique to this town and are not found in larger chain stores.

Parking Information

For most events Britt has ample parking on site. On the rare occasion that the lots at Britt fill up, there are additional street parking spaces and local parking lots with short walks to Britt. If you plan to attend an event at Britt, we recommend arriving early to secure the closest parking spot. Take some time to walk through our beautiful gardens before the performance.
